Privacy policy

Humph is made by Node and Scale LLC ("we"). The short version: your money data stays on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. We can't see it, we don't sell anything, and there are no ads.

What stays on your iPhone

Everything you put into Humph: expenses, amounts, titles, notes, categories, fixed charges, routines, wells, check-ins and settings. It's stored on your device. If iCloud is on, it also syncs to your private iCloud database, which Apple holds for you and we can't open.

Notes you import

When you paste notes or pick a file to import, Humph reads them on your iPhone. The text is never uploaded.

Tips

Tips are written on your iPhone, by Apple's on-device model where your iPhone supports it and from built-in templates everywhere else. The numbers in them come from your own data on the device.

Anonymous usage counts

To learn which parts of Humph help, the app sends anonymous events such as "an expense was logged from a usual" or "onboarding finished", with coarse buckets instead of values. They never include amounts, titles, notes or anything you type, and they aren't tied to your name, Apple ID or email. They go to PostHog's servers in the EU, with IP addresses discarded. You can turn them off any time in Settings › Privacy.

The waitlist on humph.app

If you join the waitlist on this website, we store the email address you type, and when you joined, only to email you once when Humph is on the App Store. We don't store your IP address, and we don't share the list or use it for anything else. To be removed, write to us from that address and we'll delete it. This applies to the website only; the app never sends us your email.

Purchases

Apple handles payment for Humph Pro. We see only whether a subscription or purchase is active, through Apple's StoreKit, never your payment details.

Reminders

Check-in, bill and payday reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. No server sends them.

Your choices

Children

Humph is made for adults managing their own pay and isn't directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for changes that matter, say so in the app.
